It is quieter than usual refrigerators, with only an occasional hum while operating. The refrigerator's capacity is of 295 litres. This includes the fridge compartment holding 209 litres and the bottom mounted freezer providing 89 litres of storage space. It is not frost-free, and will need occasional manual defrosting in order to maintain its peak performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice touch and the drawer for crisper drinks is spacious enough to store fresh vegetables and fruits. We tested the fridge for energy efficiency, and it scored an A+ rating. This is the lowest efficiency we've ever measured and is a great result for an appliance of this cost. The 42dB noise score was good. This is still a little more raucous than the cheaper models, but it's far quieter than the earlier refrigerators we've tested that tended to make lots of noise when running. Swan has kept the design simple, which is a plus when it comes to user-friendliness. The fridge is equipped with an LED light bulb as well as a rotary temperature control. Its temperature was fairly stable, with the middle and top shelves only fluctuating by a few degrees on either side of their average and the salad drawer remained at a comfortable 2oC. It was quite hot at the back. This could be an issue if you live in a room that is hotter. Energy efficiency The SR11010 is a vintage classic that will be a great addition to your kitchen. The range blends a classic design with contemporary A+ efficiency. The fridge freezer has a 208-litre capacity and can hold 13 bags. It will help keep your food in order. The large refrigerator features glass shelves, as well as a chrome wine rack. The freezer side focuses on fresh vegetables and features an ice-coated drawer. Fast freeze function rapidly chills new groceries that are added to the freezer. This preserves the flavour and freshness. The Swan is quite quiet, despite being a traditional compressor model. We tested it at a modest 42dB while it was running. It's considerably quieter than models from 10 years ago, and much quieter than the majority of fridge freezers in our Best Buy chart. This type of fridge also had good temperature stability. The top, middle and bottom shelves all had an average temperature that was within just a couple of degrees of the maximum temperature. The temperature of the salad drawer varied between 5oC and just below freezing. The fridge also requires manual defrosting from time to time, however it is graded as A+ in energy efficiency. This makes it the most energy efficient fridge freezer on our Best Buy chart. It will help keep your electric bill at a minimum. This is a great example of how the Swan brand can provide attractive retro-inspired designs at very competitive prices. The SR11010 looks fantastic and is available in a wide spectrum of colours, from the soft pastel blue we tested to more striking red, pink and orange. It's frost-free, and it is also very quiet. It's a solid all-rounder but you should examine it against other fridge freezers on our Best Buy table to make sure you get the right appliance for your home.
